The goal was an animal of a dual purpose car that he could run on the circuit track and then turn up to make well over 1000hp at the drag strip and on the street. I wanted to build him something with super smooth power applications, quick but not too quick transient boost, and great reliability. High HP road race cars are tricky to get right. You want something that is going to spool quickly AND have quick transient boost response. Lots of people think those are the same thing but they really aren’t. At the same time you can’t build something that comes up so quickly that it shocks the tire in the middle of a corner while the power is coming in. Some of this is for sure in the tune, but the combination of the right engine, cam, turbo, and AR housing is equally as important as a very proper road race tune.

The goal quickly went from mild to wild with this one. A twin turbo build capable of 800rwhp was planned originally, but with the onset delays and hardships we all experienced with Covid-19 in 2020 - this allowed for us to take our time and further consider things that we initially did not. Taking advantage of the extra time due to a delayed race season, we beefed up the fuel system, transmission, and opted for ported heads. Satera Tuning put together a masterpiece with this custom job as top mounted turbos in a Hemi engine bay is no easy feat with the limited amount of room. With a few button pushes of the boost controller, this beast can go from a 10 second car to an 8 second car in the 1/4 mile.

Steven B. 1030hp Chevrolet Corvette 427 60th Anniversary ‘13

BZ Whips 1000+hp C6 427 60th Anniversary:

Definitely not my intention to become a 4 digit powered car but situations called for upgrades. Nobody suspects this convertible to be a street monster but that’s how I roll…lol. Currently undergoing an engine “refresh”, at the time when this dyno happen, the droptop sported an LS2 block bored to 7.0L with stock LS7 crank and rods and Mahle forged pistons. A monster Stage 4.2 TSP Cam N/A and refreshed LS7 heads supporting the flow of an A&A YSI Centrifugal blower. 1400cc FIC injectors with psi varied dual fuel pumps to push E85 and methanol injection. Stock drivetrain mated with a McLeod RXT dual clutch and Tick Master Slave cylinder.

This car has become my way to say, it’s ok to be different.
